a bit about us
Electric Bear was established in 2012 as a recording space to support local bands, artists and businesses with music and audio production.
Since then, we’ve evolved into a broader creative company, now offering both strategy and production across various media.
Having worked closely with the local scene for over a decade, we’ve seen first-hand the lack of support and opportunities for musicians and music creatives in Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

in a nutshell
Amplify is our way of supporting some of the most exciting emerging artists, bands and producers from Mansfield and the surrounding areas. It’s about helping them grow, develop and take real steps forward in their music careers.
This isn’t a label or management deal. It’s a fully funded, no-strings-attached development programme designed to give local creatives the support they need to build momentum and make their mark.

We can’t offer a place to everyone who applies, but for those selected, we’ll provide tailored support across several areas to help move your music career forward.
group sessions
Join bi-weekly online group sessions to discuss how things are going, share advise and generally be part of something great!
1-1 sessions
Get personalised one-to-one sessions designed to help you map out clear steps and goals to grow and shape your music career.
industry workshops
Gain insight from industry experts on a range of specific topics that can move your career in the right direction.
gig opportunities
This programme opens up more chances to get involved with local events, festivals and gigs. We’re actively working to grow the live scene in the area.
studio & production
Each successful applicant will get dedicated studio or production time, focused on helping them work toward a specific goal tailored to their needs.
Funding Advice
Get direct advice and support on how to fund your career, including where to find current opportunities and how to apply for them.
We’re looking for highly focused, career-driven artists, bands or producers who are serious about putting the work in. Our aim is to help guide and support your next steps to help push your career in the right direction.
If you apply but aren’t selected this time, we’ll still keep your details as part of our wider Amplify network. You’ll stay in the loop for upcoming workshops and gig opportunities that go beyond the main programme.
who can apply?
We’re looking for career-minded, motivated and hardworking people who are passionate and ready to put the effort in. This programme is designed to deliver real-world results, not just ideas.
We aim to be fully inclusive and welcome applicants with protected characteristics including disabilities.
There are no age limits, but if you’re under 18 or need support, you’ll need to attend in-person sessions with a parent, guardian or chaperone – our funding does cover access costs.

Whether you’re a duo or a full band, we welcome groups of all ages and genres.
artists
From acoustic artists to full-scale pop acts, we’re open to all genres.
producers
The modern producer who writes, creates and releases their own music.

3. Management creates a long-list
4. Panel meeting decides on a short-list
5. Short-list contacted and meets at the studio for a chat
6. Management confirms the Amplify participants
7. Programme starts September 2025
